Sports Broadcasting Specialty Weeks With Multiple Broadcasting Personalities: Week 4 & 5
Led by Audrey Miller, broadcasting director for Oceanside High School’s award winning unit, our Sports Broadcasting program became one of our most popular non-sport activities at the Sports Academy at Brookwood Camps. Guest instructors who have appeared at The Sport Academy at Brookwood Camps include some of the most prominent names in the sports broadcasting business. Steve Levy (ESPN), Adam Schefter (ESPN), Rich Ackerman (WFAN and CBS Radio), and Tim Capstraw (Brooklyn Nets Radio Analyst) have all worked with or plan to work with our campers involved in our Sports Broadcasting Program. Campers at our sports broadcasting camp
learn about video production, direction and editing. They learn about how to broadcast games, interview players and coaches, investigate and craft stories, and create on-air segments. Our broadcasting studio and editing center is the hub of the program, but teams can be seen filming and reporting from all over the camp grounds.
